Iscoyd Park Wedding Photography

Being a wedding photographer at Iscoyd Park is one of the best parts of my job. I have been lucky enough to work at this wonderful wedding venue several times and can’t wait to return in 2020. For elegance and sophistication, Iscoyd Park is the one. An exquisite, luxury space in the country, offering the perfect mix of Georgian refinement and modern sophistication. From the stunning, light Coach House to the lovely Garden Room, divine, bright Drawing Room and lavish marquee with its impressive chandeliers, these are beautiful spaces set in a resplendent collection of stunning English gardens that are perfect for a beautiful wedding.

Ryan & Chloe’s fantastic wedding

What a day at Iscoyd Park. I love photographing weddings at this stunning venue and today was no different. I met Ryan & Chloe about a month ago for a beer and I knew this was going to be a fantastic wedding since that moment. I wasn’t wrong – from the moment I arrived with Chloe and her bridesmaids I felt welcome and loved being part of their morning. I also headed over to meet Ryan and the groomsmen and fathers to have a special glass of whiskey and a toast to those present and no longer with us. It was soon time for the ceremony and Iscoyd Park’s ceremony room is lovely, bright and classy. Everyone looked great and this was such a lovely service, with tears, laughter and just pure joy between the bride and groom.

Reception drinks at Iscoyd Park

As soon as the lovely bride and groom tied the knot they headed outside for confetti and drinks reception. The weather was just right and everyone enjoyed drinks and canapés outside in the lovely grounds that Iscoyd Park has to offer. it is honestly such a great space to photograph weddings in. All in all a fantastic wedding and everyone seemed like they were having a great time.

Couples portraits at Iscoyd Park

Chloe and Ryan told me that they didn’t want to spend ages doing couples photos as they wanted to enjoy their wedding with friends and family – this is exactly what we did. Ten minutes before the wedding breakfast and speeches we took some time to have a sometime on their own around the grounds of this incredible venue in the Shropshire countryside. I was so happy to be back at photographing a wedding at this wonderful venue.

Greatest Showman evening reception

The evening reception was brilliant and just after the speeches the lovely bride had surprised everyone with an incredible show from performers from all over the U.K. Everyone loved it and it got everyone in the mood for a great evening, after they finished it was time for the first dance and party to start – and what a party it was. This was one of my favourite weddings of 2019 and I am pleased to have photographed Ryan and Chloe’s wedding.

History of Iscoyd Park

Iscoyd Park has been in the Godsal family since 1843 and in 2009 it underwent a restoration project to what it is today. A beautiful wedding venue that is the perfect place to tie the knot.

The main house dates back to 1737 but the estate dates back further. In the 14th century the estate was owned by the heirs of Iorweth Voel, Lord Maelor Saesneg. Fast forward to the Second World War, it was a 1500 bed hospital for the United States with a prisoner of war camp on site as well. Colonel Godsal returned in 1946 and in 1957 Iscoyd Park was finally given back to the family. It is now one of the leading wedding venues in Shropshire and attracts couples from across the country to get wed.
