Peckforton Castle Wedding Photography

I am delighted to share this Peckforton Castle wedding with you. This stunning castle is a beautiful place for a wedding. Standing one mile away from the village of Peckforton in Cheshire this venue is an incredible place to photograph. Built in the middle of the 19th century this incredible wedding venue has been a family home, a hostel for children during the second world war and today is one of the leading venues in the North west of England. I have photographed weddings here several times now and really enjoy it. Today, for Beth & Michael’s wedding was no different and it was pleasure to be their Peckforton Castle wedding photographer.

With around 36,000 acres of land, marble floors, red stone building and a beautiful ceremony room this wedding venue provided the perfect location for this lovely couple and their friends and family to enjoy this wedding. I started the day briefly with Michael and his groomsmen in the Gatehouse lodge, the bride to be and her bridal party of seven bridesmaids and two flower girls were in the Beeston suite at the castle and I joined them shortly after being with Michael. It’s safe to say it was a great morning and everyone was in top form. It was then down to the wedding where the groom was waiting, the room was looking fantastic after being decorated by I Do venue dressing. The ceremony was lovely, full of laughter and emotion.  After the formalities it was time for drinks!

Couples portraits at Peckforton Castle

We were really lucky with the weather to be able to get outside for some couples portraits. Normally these are done towards the end of the drinks reception but at this time of year we went out at the start so we didn’t miss the light. Peckforton castle is such an impressive wedding venue and is the perfect backdrop for couples portraits.

Wedding reception at the Castle

The wedding reception was brilliant and everyone was really continuing the festive spirit and having a great time. It was soon time for the wedding breakfast and speeches. They also had a fantastic magician in Andrew Green to entertain the guests – always a great addition to any wedding. For the evening and drinks reception Alec Pitman & Co were there to entertain the guests and the party was brilliant. I love weddings like this and it was a pleasure to be a part of Beth & Michael’s wedding at this fantastic venue in Cheshire. It was a fantastic day and thanks you so much for having me as your Peckforton Castle Wedding Photographer.
