I am delighted to share this Knowsley Hall wedding with you. It was my first time photographing at this stunning wedding venue in the heart of Merseyside. Knowsley Hall first opened its doors in 1495 and the estate is 2,500 acres with stunning garden and lakes. As soon as you arrive in the awe inspiring entrance gate you know you are in for a lavish treat. The earliest parts of the hall dates back to around 1500. Over the years the Hall boasts incredible Baroque, Jacobean & Victorian interiors that your wedding guests will be able to enjoy. Although the Hall opened in 1495 the gardens that you see today was created in the 19th century and the stone wall was built. Until 1997 Merseyside Police rented half of the Hall and since then the present Earl and Countess have made it their home and are well into restoring the Hall into its former glory and since 1999 Knowsley Hall has been available for weddings and other events. You can get in touch with their wedding team by calling 01514894827 or via email here.
14 Bridesmaids all in white at Knowsley Hall
Donna & Matt’s wedding was the largest bridal party I have had the pleasure of photographing. The fact they were drinking sambuca and plenty of prosecco made it even better. I started in the music room with the beautiful bride and her bridesmaids in the morning and then met Matt as he arrived with his groomsmen. Matt used to live on the Knowsley Hall estate so when he took his best men on a little drive around the 2500 acres before greeting guests as they arrived. Once Donna got into her first of three dresses then it was time to walk down the stairs to the Stucco Ballroom where I Do Venue Dressers & Joseph Massey Florists had elegantly decorated this incredible ceremony room.
Couples portraits at Knowsley Hall
What an incredible back drop Knowsley Hall is for wedding photos. We headed out to the front of the Hall for around ten minutes during the drinks reception. Knowsley Hall provides such an impressive backdrop and with such a brilliant couple as Donna & Matt it made my job as a Knowsley Hall Wedding Photographer incredibly easy.
A Magician, Brazilian dancers, 3 dresses & a fantastic wedding
During the drinks reception in the Walnut Drawing Room the guests were treated to Greg Holroyd performing magic and mind reading which the guests all seemed to enjoy. It was soon time for guests to head to the State Dining Room for the wedding breakfast, speeches and a surprise visit by some singing waiters which certainly got the guests ready for the evening party! The beautiful bride went to get changed into her red dress before the first dance in the Stucco Ballroom, guests were then treated to two Brazilian dancers and DJ & Sax from RMS entertainment which kept the dance floor packed! All in all a fantastic finish to the year, this was my penultimate wedding of 2019 and I am so thankful to Donna & Matt for having me as their Knowsley Hall Wedding Photographer.
